Never wanting to forgive yourself,
Never wanting to forget,
Trying to grasp what is lost,
Trying to regain what you will never get
ever again.
And all the hundreds of sorries will never do.
It is lost
that precious thing you had
whatever it was
you try to console yourself
Pretending it never happened
but you are no longer the same
all because of what you lost
And all the hundreds of sorries will never do.
That's really true, some so wished they never had a past.
